Washingtion and Beyond

Our new adventure started last Monday morning at 12:00 am, as we hooked up the travel trailer and headed for Chico, Ca. This was the longest day of the trip, but, we took turns driving and had a great breakfast at Harris Ranch, but ,12 hours still really does make for a long day. It was good to be in Chico again, and relax. We stayed at the Almond Tree RV Park which is always a great place to stay in Chico. The last time we were here, we had a busy month with our daughter’s wedding, so it was kind of nice not to have to do anything this time but relax.. We stayed here for two nights, I got my hair cut, we walked the pugs at Bidwell Park and just relaxed.

Rocko is fitting in with this traveling lifestyle quite well. He loves to travel in the truck and as far as trailer life, he is picking up on it really quick. The stairs were something that took some practice going up and coming down, but I think he finally has mastered them.

We continued our trip on Wednesday where we drove to Armitage County Park in Eugene, Oregon. Paul and I discovered this park the last time we were in Eugene, and were really impressed by how clean and organized the campground was and with the walking trails and the fenced dog park. We stayed there only for one night, but hope to stay for a few more nights on our return trip home.

The camp sites are large and paved

Really nice park

Thursday morning we packed up and continued on to Mt Vernon, Washington to the Riverbend RV Park which will be our home for the next month. This is not a really fancy park, but it serves our needs. Water, power, sewer, cable TV and it is close to Sienna, what more can you ask for?

We have settled in and are now going to do what we do best… be grandpa and grandma for a while

 More to come later. DD
